Improving Decision Making, Accountability, and Productivity through Data Analytics

Overview

The data analytics platform, powered by AI, aimed to support UMC's digital transformation journey by delivering real-time analytical insights for faster decision making. The project kick-started with a comprehensive analysis of various data sources along with stakeholder consultations to pinpoint key challenges and key performance indicators (KPIs). These insights were used to develop customized dashboards tailored to the needs of various business functions, enhancing information accessibility and empowering data-driven decision making.

Business Challenge

  • The absence of standardized dashboards led to inconsistent reporting across departments.
  • Role-based data access was lacking, limiting transparency and accountability.
  • Cross-functional collaboration was hampered by siloed systems and unaligned data.
  • Strategic planning efforts were weakened by delayed and incomplete insights.

Before the implementation of the data analytics platform, United Methodist Communities (UMC) faced significant challenges due to fragmented data spread across multiple systems, making it difficult to access real-time insights and critical KPIs. This lack of centralized data hindered timely, informed decision-making and reduced operational efficiency. Leadership teams often relied on manual data consolidation, which was time-consuming, error-prone, and delayed responses to key business needs.

NuAIg Solution

To address these challenges, UMC partnered with NuAIg to implement an AI-powered data analytics platform that centralized and streamlined data from various systems, enabling real-time access to critical KPIs.
Customized interactive dashboards were developed for different business functions, improving data accessibility and empowering data-driven decision-making. Advanced analytics, including machine learning and predictive
modeling, were leveraged to uncover hidden patterns and trends, while secured FTP data transfers ensured timely and automated updates from sources like PointClickCare.
Role-based access and filtering mechanisms further enhanced data relevance and security, supporting transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency across finance, clinical care, and other departments.
